· maintain the highest levels of personal and professional conduct;
· treat every student with fairness, honesty, dignity and respect;
· be aware of how physical touch may be perceived and/or misunderstood, and avoid physical touch unless it is necessary;
· must not organize any activities outside the campus without permission, and minimize any potential safeguarding risks;
· be able to identify situations that may place a member of the school community at risk and know how to deal with such situations;
· must not abuse or maltreat a student (physically, emotionally, racially, or sexually), must not show differential treatment towards or neglect particular student;
· must not use your position to intimidate, bully, threaten, discriminate against, coerce or undermine anyone in the school community;
· must avoid language or behavior that devalues a student’s self-respect, and must not make inappropriate jokes with students.
· must not build intimate or inappropriate relationships with students;
· must not give or receive gifts to/from a student, or give a student special privileges;
· must not engage with students using online personal communication including but not limited to e-mail, WeChat, QQ, and social networks, except only professional online tools and environments that are sanctioned by the school and used in the course of the student’s education and welfare;
· must not possess or share indecent images of students, or upload images / videos of students without permission;
· must not offer transport in your car to a student without express parental/management permission, except in the case of emergency;
· must not carry out your duties or get in touch with students whilst adversely affected by alcohol, solvents or drugs;
· must not reveal to others the personal details of colleagues, students or parents.
· must not fabricate or spread false information negative to the school on the Internet (including but not limited to WeChat, QQ, Weibo, Facebook, etc), and must not give a like to offensive words that posted by students on the Internet.
