As ESL teachers with rich experience, we believe that English is the key for students to achieve good result in academic and social success. We come to understand all kinds of difficulties that students will encounter when they are learning English. We will ensure that we can improve students’ all around ability in Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading skills. Wehope that students can understand, express, and apply the difficult concepts by learning, which is also required by the CIE A-Level curriculum. By mastering all these skills, student not only can cater for all kinds of English proficiency tests but also use English freely in all kinds of environment.
We encourage students to participate in debates, theatrical production (including performance in Shakespeare’s works), role play, press issuing and other classroom activities. As these activities are very interesting and can arouse students’ interest in learning, their English is improved rapidly.
In order to master well English, extensive reading is very important. We make use of all kinds of reading material from library, newspaper, English website or other professional journals. We also try to lay a sound basis for students’ English knowledge by using regular verbal and basic exams. Last by not least, English teachers cooperate with teachers of other subjects to solidify students’ subjects learning in English. With all these methods, we think that students can benefit a lot and improve their English in an all round basis.

Though we aim to ensure that our students can get high score to go into their idealistic universities for higher education, it is more meaningful that students can enjoy the challenges they meet in the field of research by our teaching method. They can also find more fun from Maths learning.
STEP is a required test by admission into the Department of Maths of the University of Cambridge. It is generally held in June every year. It has been regarded a one of the important element when evaluating excellent students and is adopted by Imperial college, the university of Warwick and other universities. According to the University of Cambridge, this test is only suitable for the top 5% students. By the statement of the University of Cambridge, students can’t find much guidance and support from schools’ teachers for STEP.
Our school’s maths team is led by Dr. LI Jianhua, who has done deep research in CIE Maths exams and STEP examinations and has successfully directed tens of students to pass STEP. Among all those students, some of them got the top result in global. Eight or nine students out of ten go to Oxbridge every year in Shenzhen, who has received guidance from Dr. LI, enjoying a high reputation in this field and being regarded as the leading teacher in STEP guidance.
